Final Project: Global Warming

Global warming is the increase of earth’s temperature in the atmosphere and sea level. The sun’s energy heats up the earth and causes the weather and climate to change.

Problems

is the increase average measured temperature
of the Earth’s near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century, and its projected continuation

Methodology

We decide to create a Project about global warming because we want to people know what is the big problems of the global warming , also we want to people try to reduce this problem to help our world.

Solutions for the global warming

Clean technologies mean a cleaner world for all. Not only do modern technologies reduce carbon pollution, they reduce other harmful pollutants that poison our lakes, make our land infertile, and harm human health. By reducing global warming pollution, we help to make our energy and transportation systems more efficient, protect our forest ecosystems, wildlife and biodiversity, and improve our air quality and protect peoples’ health.

How can you help?

-Ride a bicycle to places instead of car .
-Turn your lights off if you don’t need it or not going to be there.
-Takes quick showers instead of baths.
-If you get a ride to school take your friends with you.

Bill Gates =)

William Henry "Bill" Gates III (born October 28, 1955), is an American business magnate, philanthropist, the world's third richest person (as of February 8, 2008), the second richest American (as of October 10, 2008), and chairman of Microsoft, the software company he founded with Paul Allen. During his career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of CEO and chief software architect, and remains the largest individual shareholder with more than 8 percent of the common stock. He has also authored or co-authored several books.
Gates is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of the personal computer revolution. Although he is admired by many, a large number of industry insiders criticize his business tactics, which they consider anti-competitive, an opinion which has in some cases been upheld by the courts. In the later stages of his career, Gates has pursued a number of philanthropic endeavors, donating large amounts of money to various charitable organizations and scientific research programs through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, established in 2000.
Bill Gates stepped down as chief executive officer of Microsoft in January, 2000. He remained as chairman and created the position of chief software architect. In June, 2006, Gates announced that he would be transitioning from full-time work at Microsoft to part-time work at Microsoft and full-time work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He gradually transferred his duties to Ray Ozzie, chief software architect and Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer. Gates's last full-time day at Microsoft was June 27, 2008. He remains at Microsoft as a part-time, non-executive chairman.

ARTICLE: An overview of continuous data protection

IT organizations have been caught between a rock and a hard place. Charged with protecting their company's information, IT organizations have established aggressive service level agreements (SLAs) that impact the manner in which they implement data protection by setting recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO).

Organizations struggle with shrinking or non-existent backup windows, the need to recover quickly, often to a specific point in time, and even meeting compliance or regulatory guidelines. Backing up to tape is no longer adequate; not only is it difficult to administer for backups and recoveries, but it lacks the speed, reliability, flexibility and simplicity IT needs to meet stringent SLAs. Backing up to disk using virtual tape emulation or virtual tape libraries also falls short as the administration of the solution is tape-centric and schedule driven. Add in the explosion of data, along with the challenge of protecting remote offices, and you have the challenge facing many of today's business--with IT sitting on the front lines of aligning business needs with today's technology.

As a result, a growing number of IT organizations are augmenting their traditional backup and recovery strategies with continuous data protection (CDP) solutions. CDP dramatically improves RPOs and RTOs while eliminating backup windows. What's more, CDP not only reduces the need for tape in the backup and recovery process but it also makes recovery easy enough that users can often recover their own files, without help from IT.

Interviewing a friend about his choice of career.

Name: Adrian Nieto

1.Could you please define Engineering in your own words?

The Engineering is the profession that applies knowledge and experience so that through drawings, models and techniques are resolved problems affecting humanity.

2. What influenced you to pursue Electronics engineering, industrial engineering, computer science engineering or informatics engineering?

The common thing between this enginerings is that they are in the new age. This century is based on computers and electronics, but of course i should be someone to input some order and thats when the industrial engineer comes in the picture. For that reason I went for computer sciences, so I can be in contact with all the new technologies and understand them much better.

3. Could you please describe the educational process required to become an Engineer?

Any good engineer must learn at least math. Maths are everywhere in our daily lives. If you know math you are half the way to become an engineer

4. What are the skills you need to be a good engineer?

A good engineer must have a lot of ingenuity to solve any kind of trouble, must be very dedicate, be very organized, and learn how to used the logic with reason.

5. What job considerations were you looking for after you completed your education?

The considerations that i would think about when looking for a job are really simple. First, it have to be something that I really like. Second, the payment should be really good, of course I'm not working for free, after all I study a lot so I deserve a good payment. And finally, it have to be in a place that I enjoy, like a big city that have everything.

6. What's something of your school life that you enjoy the most?

For me the most enjoyable in school was to be with my friends. No matter how hard the test was we always were always there for each other and if we didn't have any test, well we go out and start doing something else to relax.

7. From your perspective, what is the most difficult part of being an engineering student?

Nothing is hard when you put your mind in to it. If you want to be good in your classes the only thing for you to do is study hard, and if you don't understand there is always someone really smart that helps people no matter what. But I have to admit it, there were times when I didn't like the class I was taken, so my mind was thinking: "Oh man this is so boring" and when I try to study it was so hard that I failed sometimes.

8. What are your plans for the future?

Uhm well, I have several goals. First, I would like to start working as a programmer in the game industry. After that I'm planning on start my own business so I can live on my own without waiting for someone to pay me.

9. Point out your most personally gratifying moment in engineering school.

Everytime i was condecored as one of the best in the computer engineering school.

10. Why would you recommend Engineering as a career?

Engineers knows about everything. We study math, physics and so many others subjects that practicly engineers can work anywhere.
